Measuring for a Hormann Garage Door
1. Hormann garage doors are stated in terms of the internal dimensions of the door frame. For example: If the internal frame to frame dimension is 2133mm and the floor to the underside of the frame crossbar dimension is 1980mm, then the door size required is 2133mm x 1980mm. See Figure A.
2. Hormann sectional doors are fitted to the rear of the brick wall or pillar. See Figure B.
3. With a Hormann sectional door, a minimum of 90mm is required behind the brick or pillar on either side of the door opening.
4. Hormann garage doors require a 70mm square timber frame or a factory fitted steel frame. All Hormann sectional doors come complete with a 90mm steel frame (2 uprights and a single crossbar). Note: The door size does not include the size of the frame.
