Installation

Introduction
When installing SNR Garage doors, there are two main approaches - the Face Fix method where the door is fitted behind the opening and the Reveal Fix method where the door is fitted between the opening.

The Face Fix method of installation is versatile in that it allows plenty of choice when placing the guide rails.

If the garage door opening already has a wooden frame and maximising the width of the opening is not important, then the guide rails can be fitted into the opening by up to 25mm on each side or flush with the edge of the wooden frame.

The same is possible if there is no existing wooden frame, the guide rails can be fitted flush with the brickwork or into the opening by up to 25mm on each side.

Circumstance may prevent the door from being installed using the Face Fix method.

However it is possible to install the door using the Reveal Fix method – between the walls of the opening.

Garage Door Installation - Headroom Requirements3. Headroom Requirement
The coiled door curtain occupies just 300mm of headroom inside the garage for doors up to 2300mm opening height and 350mm for doors up to 3500mm opening height.

Alternatively, where the headroom is severely limited, the compact door requires only 205mm of headroom.

Experience has shown that a minimum of 55mm or the bottom slat is left hanging down in the guide rails when the door is raised fully.
